The Greater Lansing Labor Council is the “union of all the unions,” representing over 40 labor unions who together represent over 16,000 working families. The mission of the GLLC is to improve the lives of workers, their families and our community,-to bring justice to the workplace and society. To accomplish our mission, the GLLC

• engages in political education and mobilization on issues important to workers and their families;
• advocates for legislation and public policies that advance the interests of our members;
• provide assistance to workers and their families through our community service program and its network of union counselors;
• joins with community, social, and civil rights organizations to strengthen our community; and
• provides mutual aid and support to affiliate unions in their struggle to improve wages and working conditions.

Our work is guided in our belief that working together strengthens our voice in the workplace and the larger community.
